Artist Profile | Sanyutei Koyuza Born in March 1947, Kanagawa Prefecture and raised in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture In 1968, entered Sanyutei Yuza III, with stage name「Yu-kichi」 In 1969, Graduated School of Business Administration at Meiji University and took his first stage performance. In 1973, Promoted to Futatsume and changed his name to「Koyuza」 In 1983, promoted to Shin-uchi and became regular performer on『Sho-ten』TV program ◆Won 1980 Art Festival Excellence Award (Five Artists of Geikyo) ◆Won 2001 Art Festival Excellence Award Ryutei Kochiraku Born in December 1988, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo In 2005, entered Katsura Heiji II (now Katsura Bunji), and performed as「Katsura Chitaro」for the first time In 2008, entered Ryutei Chiraku V, and changed his name to「Ryutei Chitaro」 In 2009, After Chikuraku’s death, became a member of Ryutei Rakusuke’s troupe In 2009, Promoted to Futatsume and changed his name「Ryutei Kochiraku III」 In September 2019, promoted to Shin-uchi ◆Won the Encouragement Award at the 22nd Kita-Topia Young Rakugo Competition(2011) He is a promising young Shin-uchi who combines Edo-mae chic with modernity! Shunputei Shogo Born in December 1983, Tagawa-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture In 2011, at the age of 27, entered Shunputei Shota, his stage name was「Shogo」 In 2015, Promoted to Futatsume Coming from a coal-mining town, his performance has the coal-mining touch. He is also a member of the Futatsume unit “Geikyo Cadenza”. His natural brightness is the secret weapon of Shota’s clan☆ Sanyutei Yuukari Born in August 1973, Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture Left Tamagawa University (Literature, Art Department, Theatre Major) → Shingeki Training School → After working in the restaurant industry and as a sake sales, she met rakugo In 2012, at the age of 38, she entered Sanyutei Yujaku, her stage name was “Yuukari” In 2016, Promoted to Futatsume Her new rakugo stories, based on real-life experiences and featuring women as the main characters, have been well received! ◆In 2021, Awarded the Kitatopia Encouragement Prize at the 32nd Kitatopia Rakugo Competition for young rakugo storytellers |
