Tie your untied shoelaces! Let the flowing sweat be as it is! Through the downpour of pain without even opening an umbrella! Now begins the Condors’ runner’s high stage! All the frenzy born from the soul, delivered to you!
The Condors are a male dance company that performs in their trademark school uniforms, featuring dance, live music, puppet shows, video, and skits. Their stage is filled with passionate performances by unique members, unpredictable developments, and numerous scenes overflowing with laughter and playfulness. Their unparalleled and unique stage has captivated audiences of all ages both domestically and internationally.
This is the 18th installment of the Condors’ Saitama new work series, which has been ongoing since 2006. This year’s title, “BORN TO RUN,” is taken from the famous song by Bruce Springsteen. Please look forward to a dynamic stage that fully utilizes the theater space!

Artist Profile | Condors A dance company formed in 1996 consisting solely of men. Performing in their trademark school uniforms, they create stages filled with their unique worldview through interdisciplinary methods such as dance, live music, puppet shows, video, and skits. They have performed in approximately 30 countries worldwide. Beyond dance, they have numerous appearances and choreography credits in theater, TV, radio, film, and fashion shows. In 2016, they celebrated their 20th anniversary with a special gratitude performance at NHK Hall over two days. They also engage in social contributions through contemporary dance, such as performances by “Handles,” a dance team for people with disabilities originating in Saitama Prefecture, and have recently been focusing on SDGs. They are a notable dance group that stands out in Japan’s performing arts scene. Ryohei Kondo Choreographer and dancer. In 1996, he founded the dance company “Condors,” for which he handles composition, choreography, and direction, performing in approximately 30 countries worldwide. He has choreographed and appeared in NHK General’s “Salaryman NEO,” and choreographed for NHK’s morning drama “Teppan” and the Taiga drama “Idaten.” He is active in various fields, including theatrical works by Hideki Noda, films, and TV commercials. He also engages in social contributions through dance, such as audience-participatory performances for infants in “Condors’ Playful Education Plan” and performances by “Handles,” a dance team for people with disabilities. He is a professor at Tama Art University and a lecturer at the University of Tokyo and Rikkyo University. He has received numerous awards, including the 4th Asahi Performing Arts Award Terayama Shuji Prize, the 67th Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts, the 67th Yokohama Culture Award, the 42nd Nimura Dance Prize, and the 67th Saitama Culture Award. Since 2022, he has been the Artistic Director of the Saitama Arts Theater. Raised in Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Dog lover.
