HOW TO BUY TICKETS

This special production is directed by Kotaro Yoshida, renowned Shakespearean actor and director, and artistic director of the Sainokuni Shakespeare Series. Over 25 years, the theater has ambitiously staged all 37 of Shakespeare’s works, solidifying its deep connection with the Bard’s legacy.
Marking a key milestone in the theater’s history, this production aims to invite younger audiences to appreciate Shakespeare, with high school students and children under 18 being specially invited to participate. This stage play celebrates 30 years of achievement while looking toward the future of the next generation.

Kotaro Yoshida’s interpretation brings Shakespeare’s early comedic masterpiece to life, weaving humor, vitality, and chaos caused by the intervention of magical beings. His words on the play:
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a play bursting with vitality and the unstoppable energy of youth. These forces, combined with the meddling of otherworldly beings, lead to a cascade of confusion and conflict. It is my great hope to share this play with young audiences who embody this same energy. Please look forward to it!”
